Symeons

The Symeons meet each Monday evening at 8.15pm in the Church Hall. The club is open to members and friends of the congregation of the parish.
On our regular Monday evenings, members meet to play darts or table tennis or to enjoy a friendly chat at the bar. We have around 40 members and it is usual to find around 20 or so in attendance.
Each year we organise a darts tournament and a table tennis competition and present the eventual winners with a trophey. We hold our AGM and Annual Dinner, with guest speaker, in May.
On the first Monday of each month, we have our Ladies' Night when the club welcomes everyone to join in one of the organised events. These might be a Beetle Drive, a Fun Night, Dominoes Tournament or Bingo, usually with prizes and a hot buffet supper.
We are planning our usual St. Peter's Day Summer Babeque in the summer. Over the last few years this has been very successful with around a hundred people attending. Details and tickets are available in June.
September is the month when our annnual senior's outing takes place, we organise a coach outing and tea for the older members of the parish.
In addition to our Monday evening activities we help with maintenance of the church and the Parish Hall, carry out fundraising and goive our support to parish activities.
We are a thriving and active club and cater for all age groups from 18 onwards.

New - Paul Palmer will be running a short prayer session before the meeting on the first Monday of each month in response to some people's comments of prayer groups. These will run at 7.50pm for about 20 minutes, finishing in time for participants to attend Symeon's Guest's Night.
